Enable summary zoom and slide zoom
Add the slide zoom feature in the online version. As explained here:https://support.office.com/en-ie/article/use-zoom-for-powerpoint-to-bring-your-presentation-to-life-9d6c58cd-2125-4d29-86b1-0097c7dc47d7

I really appriciate if MS could make sure to have a similar technical behavior to the desktop app. Specially since everybody works online and especiall sinse MS offers MS office-tools online, it should be number 1 on the todo-list.
Not only does zoom not work, when viewed on-line zoom buttons reformatted with an alternative image, or by removal of zoom boarder are ignored by the app and presented as default slides shots
I want to have attendees at a Teams meeting run their own slides. To do this, I have to upload the PowerPoint file. I want to use the Summary Zoom feature to allow each presenter to run through their section and then return to a selection / summary slide.
However, uploading the file to Teams means that it is run using PowerPoint on the web - and this does not include the Summary Zoom functionality.

yes add it it is so cool
I used the section zoom in my PP. I needed to record audio for the PP presentation, so people can view the lesson on their own. When I was using the Record Slide feature the presentation options (such as the ability to zoom to a section and zoom back to summary slide) were not available. This is a major deficit for such a great feature as the Section Zoom. It was useless when I went to record the slides with audio.

Allowing more Prezi-like features would increase/improve the flow of presentations. It would provide the opportunity to better link ideas and increase the value of using/combining graphics with text.
it would be convenient
Can transitions and animations be available on PowerPoint online? I'm working on a Choose Your Own Adventure unit for my 5th graders and while I can do everything on PowerPoint, it will not work on PowerPoint Online which severely limits my ability to share student projects

We used the "Zoom" function in our ppts and shared them in SharePoint sites where we encountered with the missfortune that this function is not available for ppt Online.
Having this abilitated can make the communication between employees much more efficient.

The "new" Zoom feature allows us to make better PowerPoint and tell Prezi users to come designing with us. However, it would be more than useful to be able to crop a Zoom object. Here's why :
Picture this : I represent a Business Model canvas on a slide. Each brick of the business model is a Zoom (with Morph transition) to its further description. When clicking, the brick we are interested in becomes bigger thanks to the morph transition : TOP NOTCH (see my test here : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gz3hLYeWdK8) Today, I can not use the Zoom function for this (only links work) because I cannot crop the zoom objects at the right size to make it look great.
Picture this (2) : At the end of my presentation, I would have my full business model canvas, with full descriptions written in small text size. Every bricks would be in fact cropped zooms to each brick full description. It would then allow to have an automatically updated end slide : Everytime i would edit a Slide presenting a full description of a brick (for example Value Proposition), it would automaticaly update on the end slide zomm for Value proposition's brick.
It may be hard to code, but it would be great :D
please do it Microsoft wizards
online support for slide zoom would be great. not editing but in presentation mode at least. i cant present my presentations that i made at home with pp2016 desktop at school via office online (school does not have office2016 on their pcs)
The introduction of Zoom for the download copy of Office 2016 is wonderful... but useless within schools and colleges where it hasn't been rolled out internally. Staff can only use the online version or the one installed on their computers, and our version doesn't have this feature. Where I demonstrated (using the screen recording feature on my computer at home) what this did my students thought it was brilliant, then got frustrated they couldn't use it IN college. It will take time for the IT department to configure Office for security (Cortana can NOT be on by default. Student safety must be observed at all times so we can't have something accidentally listening in because the staff member forgot to turn it off) and to interact with our internal system, but if you could up the size of the files the online version of PowerPoint can cope with and include zoom, that would make all the difference in the world!

Thanks for your feedback! This non-linear slide show is in our plan.

I seriously love this idea. I am replacing Prezi with powerpoint if this happens.
My ideal scenario would be:
- I have a slide that is blank. new content appears as I animate it it, I zoom to the content, move between zooms, animating new content as I go. At the end I zoom out and it is all shown.
The issue at the moment is when I return to zoom, it starts all the animations again, so everything is invisible :)
It would be great if you could include Action Buttons or allow links to images or shapes in order to navigate between non-linear slides during playback. For example; from slide 1 click the action button to go to slide 5, click the action button to go back to slide 1, start over, click 'here' to go to slide 3, click here to exit.
Allow it to hyper-link stuff because I am making a story and I want to hyper-link two pages together.
