Become more competitive with Google Slides
I've worked with PPT in the classroom for 20 years and am trying to create lessons for teachers to sell on Teachers Pay Teachers. If you go out to Teachers Pay Teachers, you'll notice that everything is Google Slides :( Therefore, I learned Google Slides just so I could compare and create things that are better in PPT web version to show teachers Microsoft is better. Unfortunately, there are things that have to improve for me to do this:
1) When I Insert a shape like a rectangle, a small box appears in the center of a slide as opposed to the + and click to enlarge. Therefore, I have to grab the small box, reposition it, and enlarge it. Google Slides makes this skill easier in their web version. Their web version is like the desktop version of inserting shapes in PPT
2) Why can't a sound be attached to an object? Does the ugly speaker always have to appear?
3) If I insert a picture that was taken from my cell phone, I can't lighten it up! This is a BIG PROBLEM because students are mostly online these days. Many will create something like draw a picture, write a poem, etc. and have to insert it into a presentation. Once they insert it, it can't be lightened up. This can easily be done in Google Slides. Just Insert a picture, go to Format Options and select Transparency, Brightness, Contrast. Come on, Microsoft. You're falling BEHIND :(
