We have recently improved the way that PowerPoint for the web works on smaller screens. Let us know what you think, and if you have more specific improvements you would like to see, please vote for or create a more specific idea. Thank you for using PowerPoint for the web!
Please, please, please add the button for fomatting a cell's background color to the simplified ribbon. Have to switch to pwpt constantly.
I'm constantly updating shared management reports with RAG (Red, Amber Green) status boxes. It is impossible to change the background color of a cell in a table using Powerpoint online - you have to switch to Powerpoint and then save the deck back to sharepoint. Please add the shape fill button to the quick edit context menu so we can change the background color of a cell in poweroint online.3 votes
We have addressed the bug that showed the fill button as disabled on the home tab. You can change the color of a table cell background from the home tab, or from the “Table” menu when the table is selected. Please let us know if you continue to experience issues with this. Thank you for using PowerPoint!
The alignment tools are non-existent in Sharepoint. They are highly useful. Please include them.6 votes
We have now added alignment tools to SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business and Teams. Let us know what you think!
I work in the Accessibility field. One of the things that is difficult to deal with is the focus order when using TAB to navigate the content of a slide. The desktop version of PowerPoint has a pane called the 'Selection' pane. This pane allows users to change the order of objects/content within a slide in relation to each other, as well as changes the focus order. The 'Selection' pane should be implemented to PowerPoint Online. This will allow users of PowerPoint Online to specify the focus order of the content they are creating, creating a better experience for keyboard/screen reader users alike.

We have now rolled out the Selection Pane to PowerPoint for the web. You can find it under the Arrange options or by typing “Selection pane” into the “Tell me what you want to do” box. Let us know what you think!
You can do this by going to Insert>Online Video and then pasting in a URL to the YouTube video you wish to embed. Thank you for using PowerPoint for the web!
Although we have forward transitions they work the same way when flicking back can we please have a tool that will help us reverse them when the page is reversed either as an automatic setting or as a setting we can input ourselves.2 votes
We have added support for more transitions in PowerPoint for the web, including making them play in reverse when going back a slide. If you have specific examples of cases where this does not work, please create a new suggestion with more details. Thank you for using PowerPoint!
let us know which file is corrupted so that we can replace the picture or file and fix the presentation4 votes
We’ve improved the way that PowerPoint for the web can repair a corrupted presentation. Let us know if you are still experiencing issues with file repair. Thank you for using PowerPoint!

Make it easy to add pictures and delete them.5 votes
You can insert and delete pictures in PowerPoint Online. If you have more specific requests, please let us know.
if i leave for 2hrs and the tabs open, don't make me log back into it.1 vote
We have improved our timeout window for OneDrive and SharePoint users. Let us know if you continue to experience issues. Thank you for using PowerPoint for the web!
The page curl (and other similar transitions) should be reversed when linking to previous slides, or just going backward. It's confusing if the pages turn the same way regardless or going forward/backward. It only currently works if you use your left/right cursor keys. It would be great if these could be intuitive and curl to the left when going forward and to the right when curling backward. Or maybe just add a checkbox that says "reverse transitions when scrolling backward"5 votes
We have added bi-directional support for the Page Curl transition. It now matches the behavior of PowerPoint for Windows and Mac. Let us know if you continue to experience issues!
To enable right-click for copy and paste in Chrome, you can install the Office browser extension. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/office-enable-copy-and-pa/ifbmcpbgkhlpfcodhjhdbllhiaomkdej?hl=en-US
(browser security limitations allow a web application from accessing your clipboard through a button click, and the extension helps allow PowerPoint to paste content from the clipboard.)
Since I want to work together with other people I use PowerPoint Online. I ran in to a problem with headers and footers on the slides. According to the help you need to copy a textbox onto each slide.
Why isn't the offline functionality integrated with PowerPoint Online319 votes
We have now rolled out this feature to SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, and Teams. You can add footer and slide number to your slides. Let us know how it’s working for you!
Hi. I am currently supposed to document misspellings and broken links on a website. Would be alot easier, to do, and understand for the guy whos supposed to correct the mistakes.
I need the highlight feature, to highlight words/buttons on screenshots. And we are multiple people editing the same PPT, so i can't use the desktop version.
Hope you will be able to add this feature soon.
You can now use highlighter tools in PowerPoint for the web. For more information, see https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Draw-and-write-with-ink-in-Office-6D76C674-7F4B-414D-B67F-B3FFEF6CCF53#OfficeVersion=Web
I would be very convenient to have the possibility to checkout files directly from Teams, when files are in a SharePoint folder.2 votes
We have now rolled out the ability to edit files directly in Teams. From the Teams channel where your file is stored, click on the “Files” tab to see your documents. You can then edit them directly within Teams!
embed to other websites without "download copy" button
currently anyone can download a copy of the presentation.
for privacy reasons, there should be an option to remove the "download copy" button when embedding on other websites with iframe code9 votes
You can remove the download option by using sharing options in SharePoint Online or OneDrive. Here’s an Answers post that describes how to do this: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/all/prevent-download-of-shared-file-from-onedrive/0db21781-bd4b-439d-8506-cad4837afd1f

You can set your background in PowerPoint Online by going to Design>Format Background. Hope that helps!
I could not find the "find" or "search" button in the "Simplified Ribbon", so either it should be easier to find or it should be added.1 vote
You can access find by clicking the magnifying glass on the home tab, or using the Ctrl+F keyboard shortcut.
