  1. Advanced Animation Timeline

Why is the Advanced Animation Timeline feature still not available in the latest version of Powerpoint for Mac? It's been available for PC s since 2016.

  2. Add webcam and microphone options to "Record Silde Show" experience

The narration recording function is good but the actual face of the presenter cannot be videoed via the webcam on mac. This is available on the windows version and it seems an odd function to leave off the mac version as this is so widely used. It is really complicated, time consuming and potentially expensive to get this to work on mac due to having to purchase additional hardware/software.

  3. General request - make all Power Point tools equal on PC and Mac.

Microsoft is selling limited version of PowerPoint 2019 on Mac charging the same or more money. There are plenty of tools and options not available on Macs, where are quite long available on PC. This is very unfair and I'm surprised that there is still no lawsuit against that company for tens and hundreds of millions $ for making faulty software. Im just going to promote that action in public so maybe in a short time we would see significant improvement of Mac version of Office, or MS will be sued for millions. In US, in EU, in UK, wherever…

  4. Bring back "Reuse slide" and allow formatting options when inserting slides

In Office for Mac 2011 (and for current Windows Users) one can choose to reuse a single slide (or 2, 3 etc) from another presentation and retain the original formatting. No more! With 2016 the user is forced to add ALL slides from the secondary presentation - and the formatting is automatically changed, too. For example, if you need 2 slides from a 100 slide presentation, all 100 slides are inserted and all formatting auto-changed to the receiving presentation. This renders the feature virtually useless and costs users a ton of time that wasn't previously required. The Microsoft Tech team…

  5. Reading View in PowerPoint for Mac

PowerPoint for Windows has Reading view which is like Presenter view with the title bar and the task bar. The good thing about Reading view is that you can have multiple windows open, and you can also have two presentations with Reading view open in two different displays, thus affording an amazing way to compare before and after slides. PowerPoint for Mac still does not have this view.

You can learn more about Reading view at https://www.indezine.com/products/powerpoint/learn/interface/365/reading-view.html

  7. Add pen tools and Laser to record movement for "Record Slide Show" experience

Request coming from teachers who are doing remote learning during the pandemic.

Please add the ability to annotate while doing a presentation recording. This would be similar to Ink on windows. The feature existed with Mix but not available in PowerPoint 16.

  8. PowerPoint handling of large multimedia files when co-authoring

    The background:

Our customer has experienced a number of issues with co-authoring in PowerPoint. Issues such as the application freezing in the middle of a co-authoring session of 5 or more people, the ‘Auto-save’ switch at the top turning itself off, issues with files being duplicated on SPO with the system hostname appended to the filename.

The customer is a creative agency so they’re working with large, high quality multimedia elements in their presentations.

From the conversations we’ve had with our customer, it transpires that they aren’t the only company to have issues with PowerPoint co-authoring – so much so…

  10. Enabling to record a slideshow with a video narrative in PowerPoint (Office 365) for Mac OS X Catalina.

Please, enable to record a slideshow with a video narrative in PowerPoint (Office 365) for Mac OS X Catalina. Unfortunately, it is available for Windows only.
The link https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/record-a-slide-show-with-narration-and-slide-timings-0b9502c6-5f6c-40ae-b1e7-e47d8741161c#OfficeVersion=macOS is not applicable for Mac OS Catalina. If this feature is implemented, it will be very interesting for users are looking for a way to make some video classes because they could record the slide show and the speaker's video simultaneously.

  12. Layers and locks.

Please add the ability to show/hide layers, as on any other design program. Also the ability to lock/unlock an item to avoid when group selecting. Use InDesign, and learn.

  13. After a presentation is saved, the producer should be able to make recording adjustments to a single slide rather that redoing everything.

This idea will allow presenters to re-record on a single slide without having to redo the entire presentation.

  14. Grids!

Why is there a "snap to grid" view option, yet we can't view or edit the grid itself on the Mac?

  15. Paragraph and character styles, please!

Why can't we create/modify paragraph and character styles with a format pane as robust as Word? Header 1, Header 2, captions, custom bullets et al that don't have to be reformatted over and over again would make things so much faster, consistent, and easier. Your end user is familiar with paragraph styles in Word, give them a little credit to be able to use them in PowerPoint as well.

  16. Word Count

Like in Microsoft Word I would like to be able to easily check how many words there are within each slide.

  17. Save as Picture bug in PowerPoint for Mac

Save as Picture bug in PowerPoint for Mac

    Version: 16.38 (20052612)

OS version: 10.15.5 and 10.14.6 Security Update 2020-003

The issue: When right-click a picture object and choose "Save as Picture…", the resultant file is 0KB if the file format is PNG, JPG, BMP or GIF.

    Save as PDF is OK.

Also, there is no in-app Feedback for the Mac!

  18. SmartArt Graphics folder missing

Mac users can't add new SmartArt glox files to their installlation. In Windows, the Templates folder contains a SmartArt Graphics folder where additional Glox files can be downloaded. Then the SmartArt file list incluides them in the program. Mac installations are missing this folder. Creating a SmartArt Graphics folder in the Templates folder, then placing a Glox file inside, does NOT add to the SmartArt menu in Office for Mac.

  19. A view to see a before and after of a slide with animations without going into Slide Show mode

I've been creating slides where pictures and/or text appear/disappear in the same spot as other pictures/text which can be difficult to see and have to use slideshow mode to preview the results without all the clutter. Would be nice to just do a split screen of a before and after for each animation

  20. For heaven's sake - would you give us the facility to hide the Paste Options button! It's making Powerpoint for Mac virtually unusable
