  3. Layers and locks.

Please add the ability to show/hide layers, as on any other design program. Also the ability to lock/unlock an item to avoid when group selecting. Use InDesign, and learn.

  4. Lock Object Position on Slide

Please make it possible to lock the position of an object (e.g,. image) on a slide. The feature is in Keynote and is indispensable when adding labels and layers to an underlying image.

  5. You don't have an option to record a laser pointer in a PowerPoint 365 presentation on the Mac.

You need to give the Mac version the same capability as the Windows. Also, you need to have instructions on how to do it with a trackpad.

  6. Right click align tool please

Right clicking on an object, text box or image is second nature for designers. On Mac Powerpoint it is difficult to hunt for the Align icon on the menu bar every time, and interrupts what could be a speedy workflow!

  7. Want the option to print a section (like in PPT for Windows)

In PowerPoint for Windows, you can print all slides, current slide, custom range, or one of the sections. We don't have the ability to print a section on a Mac. Printing a section is really handy! Plus, if it's available in Windows, it should be available for Mac to make it consistent no matter what platform I'm using. Thanks!

  8. Make presentation features on MAC the same as PC particularly when presenting on dual monitors

On the PC version when presenting slides with presentation on a second display monitor, you can edit the powerpoint slides on one display while presenting on the other - this is not possible on the MAC version and the closest I have seen to a solution is having two copies of the powerpoint slide open, and presenting one copy while using the second to edit

  10. Custom slideshow improvements

The functionality for custom slide show is very far from usable, at least on Mac, and I would like to suggest the following improvements:

When adding more slides to a custom show, they are always placed at the end. It should be possible to define where to put the new slides, simply by selecting one of the slides already present - the added slides then should be placed directly after this slide in succession.

It should be possible to add multiple slides in one go.

When removing slides, the list should stay in place, instead of bumping to the top.

  11. Search Design Ideas

For the design ideas portion, I wish I could search a key word and powerpoint design ideas popup that relate to that key word. Instead I have to open many powerpoints to find a good design for my powerpoint.

  13. Infographic Icon Lists

It would be super cool to have an in-built icon list generator for info graphics that could possibly plug into the smart art section. It's a little bit like one-item histograms.

For example: Have a generator that lets us pick an icon to use to represent count of something, then enter the count, and automatically generate X number of icons arranged neatly beside a header based on total count.

    Something like this: https://visual.ly/community/Infographics/science/how-many-people-have-ever-been-born

A live preview for fonts when scrolling throughout the font section is much needed.

  16. For presenting to a videoconference, presentation to a window instead of a screen, but still have presenter view on a separate monitor.

I have a dual monitor setup (laptop plus screen), and now am doing everything virtually. The old paradigm of presentation monitor/presentation-view on laptop doesn't work well for videoconferencing - the videoconference windows are hidden entirely by PPT. If the presentation could be directed to a window instead of consuming a whole monitor, you would be able to see everything you need to on the 2 screens.

  17. Grids!

Why is there a "snap to grid" view option, yet we can't view or edit the grid itself on the Mac?

  19. Word Count

Like in Microsoft Word I would like to be able to easily check how many words there are within each slide.

  20. Save as Picture bug in PowerPoint for Mac

Save as Picture bug in PowerPoint for Mac

    Version: 16.38 (20052612)

OS version: 10.15.5 and 10.14.6 Security Update 2020-003

The issue: When right-click a picture object and choose "Save as Picture…", the resultant file is 0KB if the file format is PNG, JPG, BMP or GIF.

    Save as PDF is OK.

Also, there is no in-app Feedback for the Mac!
