🛠 🐞If you think you have found a bug, please send us feedback in-app instead! To do so, please click “File”, then “Feedback”, then“Send a Frown” in PowerPoint. This way, we will get detailed information that will help us better diagnose the problem. 🐞 🛠

  1. Customize default built-in template

The internet is full of pages explaining how to save a custom theme and make it the default, however nobody can explain how to make the default presentation also have custom slides in it so that I don't have manually do "New from Template..." with a custom template every time I want to do a presentation. I would like PowerPoint's default presentation to not only have the theme I specified, but the actual slides in it that I want.

  3. Readability Statistics in PPT

I use the readability statistics when I create brochures, etc. in Word. This works great. But design element works much better in PowerPoint, and I prefer to use PowerPoints, but it doesn't have a grammar check or readability statistics! This would be really helpful.

  6. Word Count

Like in Microsoft Word I would like to be able to easily check how many words there are within each slide.

  11. Save as Picture bug in PowerPoint for Mac

Save as Picture bug in PowerPoint for Mac

    Version: 16.38 (20052612)

OS version: 10.15.5 and 10.14.6 Security Update 2020-003

The issue: When right-click a picture object and choose "Save as Picture…", the resultant file is 0KB if the file format is PNG, JPG, BMP or GIF.

    Save as PDF is OK.

Also, there is no in-app Feedback for the Mac!

  12. It is impossible to turn off snap to shape in Mac pptx 2016. Can you put it back?? Why are the designers so braindead?

Make it possible to remove snapping of objects. Why is this so difficult for you pea brains?

  15. Add Sections to the Master Template

Add sections to the Master in PPT so that you could categorize the type of slides in the layout selection tool. If you didn't add a sections feature, even adding a way to categorize the type of slide would be incredibly helpful from a user perspective when dealing with corporate decks.

  16. Slide size

Have a function to a) see the size (in MB) of each slide, and b) to sort the slides by size. This would make it way quicker to identify which slides are eating up most space, which you can then use to e.g. make pictures smaller.

  17. Dynamic table of contents based on sections

The idea is pretty simple and - I think - useful: auto-generate table of contents (ToC) based on the name of each section in PowerPoint.

For example, you have three sections: introduction, sample projects, and further reading. The aut-ToC would allow you to insert a ToC including the names of each section, and e.g. the number of the first slide in that section (1,8,15), and potentially other info (e.g. number of slides in that section). As you add/remove/change the sections and their names, the ToC would adjust automatically.

There would be different lay-outs for the ToC, e.g. with bullets points,…

  18. Simpler Macro Creator or More Apply to All options

VOTE FOR THIS!! I'd like to create macros because what I do is extreme repetition. One push of a button would save me so much time and stress. I am aware of VBA (Visual Basics Editor) in PowerPoint, however I don't have time to learn script or "programming language". Another suggestion is an APPLY TO ALL OPTION FOR TEXTBOX SHAPE FORMAT. This is very important for strict formatting and broadcast/television standards. Thank you.

You highlight a word for example "MICROSOFT", press the caps lock button while highlighting, and it changes the word to "microsoft", and vice versa.
