    Export to PDF
Having read through various comments, there are a number of topics all relating to being able to export to PDF, single, or multiple slides rather than all of them.
Could someone merge these, so that the votes are counted correctly, and add a few votes for those those comments made to the Export to PDF options thread, which have been made post the thread was marked as being completed!

      • Grant access automatically to linked video files when PPT is played on another device

Currently we are asked to Grant Access to each linked video file, which in my case often means going through 100 or more slides to locate the 20 video files one by one before I can run the presentation.
Sometimes (it seems by luck) it lists them all in one dialog box, which makes the task easier, but IDEALLY can this feature be bypassed, maybe in Preferences?

        • SOUND CHECK DRY RUN

I teach courses on auditory system and music and have many slides with embedded sounds.

However, one can never be sure that the sounds will work in a given PPT file. It would be useful to have a button to play all the sounds (and videos as well) and report which ones will work and which ones will not.

THere should also be a warning when one saves the PPT file if some of the sound icons don't have associated playable sound files or embedded file.

          • GLOBAL KEEP ORIGINAL FORMAT/THEME OPTION

I move many slides from one presentation to the next, and sometimes the themes are different and I am forever having to tell PPT to use the source formatting parameters. it's just plain annoying.

On the Mac there should be a way of setting the default so that the slide looks exactly like the original wherever it is transferred to.

I don't use styles and themes -- I imagine there are many PPT users like me.

            • GLOBAL DO NOT COMPRESS OPTION

It is unpredictable, but PPT sometimes auto-compresses PDF and other images in essence ruining them. I try to go in for each pasted graphic and select the No Compress option, but this is not always clear in the menu labels. It's very tedious not to be able to globally turn this (in my opinion idiotic) feature off.

I want to turn off (permanently if possible) ALL compression in PPT for the Mac. Ideally, I would like to do this for all of my PPT files (if I were king I would take this "feature" out of PPT completely -- it…

              • Embedded graphics check

There needs to be an indicator and warning if some graphics or videos are not working AND if some graphics or videos are not embedded in the saved PPT file. The warning needs to occur upon saving the file and upon opening it.

I have had many, many of my PPT files over the years that have lacked the videos that I embedded in them originally. It means that I cannot trust my old PPT files to work -- I have to go through them and test each video, and this is a huge time sink for lecturers with hundreds…

                • More control for multiple monitors

I work for a university and we have varying set-ups in classrooms. A couple set-ups have been displaying slideshows on all monitors, instead of just one. My idea is to give more options in the settings for displaying slideshows. And to be able to have it set as default. Changing to "Browse by individual" is tedious for instances where multiple students have presentations because you'd have to edit every presentation.

When you click on the down arrow in the new slide button, instead of opening up, it remains just highlighted. It doesnt work except we get only the standard slide.

                    • Better Presentations

Some have noted great presentations sometimes have no bullets

Treat using bullets or not using bullets the same way. Make a clear choice in Master Slides to default to bullets or not using bullets. When constructing slides, use tab to go to lower bullet or not bullet the same way (smaller indented text).

Likewise currently difficult to control distance between bullet lines. There are so many multi-step ways, very complex. Need simple menu for space between (bullet) lines not in a paragraph. Space between lines in a paragraph is a separate menu. Current mix of so many possibilities is difficult…

                      • Retain BOTH Hyperlinks and Fonts in Saved PDFs

Users have to choose between keeping hyperlinks or keeping fonts in a PDF saved from PowerPoint. This choice is unacceptable, the PDF save needs to retain both. Windows users don't have to make this choice.

                        • Retain Hyperlinks on Shapes Saved to PDF

                          1. Add a shape to a PowerPoint 2011 or 2016 slide.
                          2. Add a hyperlink to the shape.
                          3. Save the file as PDF and open in Reader. The hyperlink is gone.

This works as expected in the Windows versions of PowerPoint, please fix!

                            • audio narration on Mac powerpoint presentation

I signed up for Office 365 with the intent to be able to record narration on presentations and be able to then convert to a video format to load onto the internet (specifically FB). The MOV & MP4 options are the only options I am given on my MAC, and the presentation is converted to video wonderfully BUT with NO audio. I need the narrated audio or it is useless to me. This whole process has been incredibly frustrating.

                                  • Why are third party fonts STILL not working?

The latest version (16.19) still does not work properly with third-party purchased fonts. Specifically, I am using "Roboto" and neither Italics nor Bold work in the text despite selecting them in the Fonts menu. I am a professional speaker. When the fonts don't work it throws off all the written content on a slide. I am therefore still using version 15.41, where this font works.

Can someone please remind me why we are paying an annual fee for Microsoft when they are not providing a reliable service?

                                      • I need to be able to zoom in on a particular slide during presentation mode. Please enable this for mac.

While in presentation mode, I need to be able to zoom in while on a particular slide. I don't need to zoom to another slide, but need to zoom in on the slide that is on screen. This issue was raised before, but closed out when you provided SUMMARY ZOOM.

                                        • Allow .gif to be inserted as a "movie" again (like in ppt 2011)

In ppt 2011, a gif could be inserted as a "movie". So, I could edit if I wanted the gif to be played "on click" or "automatically" and whether it should "loop", "rewind", "play full screen" and so on. There was no need to go to a third party website and edit the gif itself, and I could decide WHEN the gif would play. For example, only play "on click" after I discussed the slide's content first. It took a couple seconds to click these options and move on to the next slide.

On ppt 2019, the only way to…
