  1. pdf resolution bad since last update

since the version 16.14.1 (180613) pdfs are exported in a bad quality even when setting the resolution to "high".
Happens when exporting to pdf as well when printing to pdf.

  2. PowerPoint 365 for Mac has the Online Picture option grayed out.

PowerPoint 365 for Mac has the Online Picture option grayed out. I tried adding it in Preferences, but it still did nothing. I like finding online clipart and backgrounds using this feature. When will it be implemented in the Mac version?

  4. Please put back the "change picture" command in Power Point. Gone when did update to Office 16.10

PowerPoint in Office Mac 2016. Did update to 16.10, and "change picture" command is now gone. Others are posting about it in the forums too. Does not help to change Mac OS version. Happening in all versions of the OS. Please put feature back.

  5. Mac OS color palette no longer works in 16.10 (180204)

If you select "more fill colors" to browse the OS-level color selection options, there is a palette of 18 custom colors on the bottom that is consistent across all apps. If you click on a color, it will highlight the color, but there is no longer any way to select the color for use on the item in your slide. Before, you could select the color, click OK, and the color would be applied to the object. But now, the palette is non-functional.

Microsoft's color palette management is so poor, this is like adding insult to injury.

Thank you for your feedback! We cannot reproduce the issue you reported in the latest Office build, so we are closing this request as “Completed”.

This UserVoice site is designed for submitting feature requests, instead of reporting bugs. If you are still hitting the color palette problem after updating to the latest Apple and Office build, please post the problem on the Answers forum (https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum), and we’ll take a deeper look at your case.

    Thanks!

  6. 3D models support

3D formats that can be added in windows are great to express motion (e.g. rotating an earth globe). Why are features so limited for mac users

  7. Add support for SVG and icons

Allow ability to insert and edit scalable vector graphics (SVG) files into your documents on Mac. I used to be able to insert .emf files and then ungroup them into shapes which I could edit. It's very frustrating that there is no option for this now on the Mac.

As of April 2018, Insert Icons and SVG support are now available in Office 2016 for Mac.

To insert an icon in Office 2016 for Mac: Go to the Insert > Insert Icon. Scroll through the icons or jump to a category by clicking the name in the navigation pane at the left. Choose an icon and then click Insert at the lower right. Insert multiple icons at the same time by clicking each of them before clicking Insert. Use the Graphics Tools ribbon to rotate, color, change style or resize your icon.

To insert an SVG file in Office 2016 for Mac: Go to Insert > Pictures > Picture from file to insert your SVG images.

We are excited to announce that the Animation and Video Trigger feature has been released to all Office 365 subscribers! Please update to build 16.17.180909 or higher, and try setting a special start against your animations, either via the Ribbon → Animations → Trigger button, or via the “Triggers” settings in the Animation Pane.

Thank you again for your support! Please keep voting other feature requests on your wish list :)

    Cheers!

  10. Improve Saving FailSafe's

You guys NEED to have a better system for making sure people's stuff doesn't get wiped. I was working on a PowerPoint for a day, and it kept saying that some of the slides I'd used were read only, and that I should overwrite the file. I kept overwriting my presentation (seemingly successfully), but when I closed out of the file I lost ALL the changes. I just got back form hospital because I broke my knuckles -- I was THAT angry. There was no AutoSave file - nothing. I'd worked on a DropBox but it didn't even save temporarily,…

Thanks for your feedback! Now, Office 365 will save your changes as you make them with our new AutoSave feature, so you never have to worry about losing your changes and you’ll be able to access them from anywhere. Simply store your files in OneDrive and make sure the AutoSave toggle at the top left is turned on. Additionally, when AutoSave is on, you’ll be able to collaborate with others in real-time.

  11. Add a report a bug button

How about a button where you can report bugs in your software? Given that your internet presence is to put it mildly: horrifyingly bad, why not add a button under the 'help' section where you can report a bug in your program. I do understand that it may look bad on the surface to have have a 'report a bug in our program' button as it implies that there are lot of bugs in the program. But once you discover one as a customer, it does really help you to further improve your software. In addition, it saves me from…

Thanks for your feedback! This issue is now fixed in PowerPoint for Mac 2016.

  13. Add words to custom dictionary

DANGER - PowerPoint 2016 for Mac spell checker does not change custom dictionary to Add words!!!

The issue reported here was fixed:
PowerPoint 2016 for Mac spell checker does not Add words to custom dictionary
    https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/msoffice_powerpoint-mso_mac/powerpoint-2016-for-mac-spell-checker-does-not-add/42729402-f9c9-488b-9360-90b9129eb6be

But further to that, I have noticed that when "Tools - Spelling" to Add words, PowerPoint 2016 version 15.31.0 (170216) does not automatically select the correct custom dictionary in "Add words to". Word does it right, but PowerPoint fails as said.

This is particularly dangerous, since you may add words to the wrong custom dictionary, for instance when you work with English and Spanish…

Thanks again for your feedback! The PowerPoint Product team has been actively working to close the feature gap between the different PowerPoint endpoints, most recently bringing features found in WinPPT like real time collaboration, trim media, QuickStarter, and Trim Media to the Mac platform.

As we continue to bring over more WinPPT features to MacPPT, we will use this site to help us prioritize the work. If there is a specific feature from WinPPT that you would like to see on MacPPT, be sure to vote for it!

  19. Disable design ideas

Design Ideas is a big heap of instrusive rubbish. Every time I want to add an image and manually size it, this pops up. Just a way to untick it so it never shows up is absolutely vital. I have been using Powerpoint for what is coming up to 15 years, this is a couple of extra clicks every time. this might be useful for some people but it must be possible to disable it for the rest of us.

Thanks for your feedback! The ability to disable “Design Ideas” (PowerPoint Designer) is already available in PowerPoint for Mac 2016.

    To disable Designer:
    1. Select Preferences from the PowerPoint menu.
    2. Under Authoring and Proofing Tools in the Preference dialog, select General.
    3. In the General dialog box, under PowerPoint Designer, clear the Automatically show me design ideas check box

We hope this helps, and remember to keep voting for features that are important to you – the more votes a feature gets, the more likely we are to bring it to the product.

  20. Better autosave feature

I just lost a whole bunch of information on a powerpoint for school, even some info on slides I had saved manually. It'd be great if we could have a feature that would at least put the recovered file into a new folder in 'Documents' or something so that if the recovered files aren't able to open, they'll at least be saved in another folder, and still be able to be easy to get through.
