  1. Support for Embedded fonts

Allow powerpoint for mac to support embedded fonts like on windows and previous versions. It makes the format a lot more portable that way, otherwise we end up having to only use pdf files to share.

After flighting the Font Embedding feature to Office Insiders for almost two months, we now officially enabled it for the rest of the Office 365 subscribers! Please update to build 16.17.180909 or higher, and try embedding fonts in your presentations, so wherever your files goes, your fonts go too :)

Please see this article for more information on the feature:

Thank you for your feedback! This feature is now available to all Office 365 subscribers via the June updates.

Note that it’s a known limitation in the current version that the embedded video and audio can’t playback in the exported video yet. Please vote on the request below, if the playback functionality of the embedded media files is critical to your scenario, and we’ll prioritize it accordingly:

    https://powerpoint.uservoice.com/forums/288925-powerpoint-for-mac/suggestions/14811522-export-narrated-powerpoint-to-video

Again, thank you for your patience and support!

  6. Add support for SVG and icons

Allow ability to insert and edit scalable vector graphics (SVG) files into your documents on Mac. I used to be able to insert .emf files and then ungroup them into shapes which I could edit. It's very frustrating that there is no option for this now on the Mac.

As of April 2018, Insert Icons and SVG support are now available in Office 2016 for Mac.

To insert an icon in Office 2016 for Mac: Go to the Insert > Insert Icon. Scroll through the icons or jump to a category by clicking the name in the navigation pane at the left. Choose an icon and then click Insert at the lower right. Insert multiple icons at the same time by clicking each of them before clicking Insert. Use the Graphics Tools ribbon to rotate, color, change style or resize your icon.

To insert an SVG file in Office 2016 for Mac: Go to Insert > Pictures > Picture from file to insert your SVG images.

Thanks again for your feedback! The PowerPoint Product team has been actively working to close the feature gap between the different PowerPoint endpoints, most recently bringing features found in WinPPT like real time collaboration, trim media, QuickStarter, and Trim Media to the Mac platform.

As we continue to bring over more WinPPT features to MacPPT, we will use this site to help us prioritize the work. If there is a specific feature from WinPPT that you would like to see on MacPPT, be sure to vote for it!

As of April 2018, Export to PDF options are now available on PowerPoint for Mac 2016.

PDF options can be accessed through Settings > General > Print Quality (Paper/PDF). You can choose between High, Medium, or Low image quality. For print, we recommend using high quality; for export to PDF, we recommend using low or medium quality (depending on your optimal file size).

Anything else you’d like to see in PowerPoint for Mac? Don’t forget to vote for the feature on UserVoice – we use this feedback to help us prioritize our backlog. The more votes a feature gets, the more likely it is that you’ll see it in our product!

  12. Draw table

In insert table there is no possibility to draw it, as in Word.

I must say I am really deceived with Office Mac 2016. Office Mac 2011 was more complete. Why don't keep same functions?

    Best regards,

    Peter

  14. Add Hyperlink support for PDFs made from PowerPoint

It's a little crazy that hyperlinks get stripped out upon making a PDF.
We really need them to carry over like they always have on the PC.

In Office 2016, PDFs generated from PowerPoint do support hyperlinks. This feature can be found in PowerPoint for Mac today

Thanks again for your feedback, and remember to keep voting on features that are important to you – the more votes a feature gets, the more likely we are to implement it in the product.

  15. Enable gridlines

My son says that in windows based powerpoint he can enable the grid. This helps him place his text frames easier so that it can fit any type of screen. If not, a person can design their slides and then view the on a screen that won't show the edges. I couldn't find this option on the Mac. He said that it looks like the slide is in a graph paper form.

Thanks for your feedback! This functionality already exists in PowerPoint for Mac 2016.

To more easily align objects on a slide, you can snap your objects to vertical and horizontal guide lines that run through the slide. You can also use dynamic guides—lines that run through the center of other objects and the center of the slide and appear when you drag an object—to align an object relative to another object.

To turn snap to grid on or off: Click View > Guides > Snap to Grid.

To turn dynamic guides on or off:Click View > Guides > Dynamic Guides.

Hope this was helpful! Please remember to continue to vote for the features you’d most like to see in PowerPoint for Mac.

  16. pdf resolution bad since last update

since the version 16.14.1 (180613) pdfs are exported in a bad quality even when setting the resolution to "high".
Happens when exporting to pdf as well when printing to pdf.

  17. Please put back the "change picture" command in Power Point. Gone when did update to Office 16.10

PowerPoint in Office Mac 2016. Did update to 16.10, and "change picture" command is now gone. Others are posting about it in the forums too. Does not help to change Mac OS version. Happening in all versions of the OS. Please put feature back.

  18. Full Quick Access Toolbar support for Office for Mac 2016

PC QAT is a boon and better than customizing PPT for Mac 11, now we have neither option. It would be great if the exported QAT files would work across MAC and PC but that is a minor issue compared to being able to create a QAT and move it under the ribbon like in the PC versions.

Thanks for your feedback! You can now get this functionality via the Insider Fast update (http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/office_insider-registration/announcing-the-first-ever-office-insider-fast/de603f73-3405-49d4-a6ee-d017773cb8a0). 20. Fix issues related to language settings

Working in parallel in presentation in several languages, I find the language setting functions in PPT 2016 cumbersome.
    - Why can't I simply in 1 click resent absolutely all the text in an existing presentation to another language?
    - Why, after selecting all objects in a slide and specifying a given spelling language, the text in smart object still not set to this language ?

    Please review and fix.
