  1. Needs some sort of photos and video editing functions for slide show

If PowerPoint has own photos and video editing capabilities,we don't need to rely on other software and no hassle for video or picture import,

  2. Customizable ribbon

I think that a customizable ribbon on PowerPoint enables huge productivity gains... Shortcuts help you to rearrange and align very quickly the elements for instance. The less you click, the faster you work!

Thanks for your feedback! The ability to customize your PowerPoint ribbon is available for Office 365 subscribers.

To customize the ribbon in PowerPoint:
    - Go to app Preferences and click Ribbon and Toolbar.
    – On the Ribbon tab window, select the commands you want to add or remove from your Ribbon and click the add or remove arrows.

    Hope this helps!

  3. When exported to pdf, all images in slides have grey outline

Recent issue I've noticed: Whenever I export my ppt file to PDF, all of the images I have included in the powerpoint have a grey outline around the image. It does not happen to any shapes I may have built in the pdf, only uploaded images.

  4. Fix issues related to language settings

Working in parallel in presentation in several languages, I find the language setting functions in PPT 2016 cumbersome.
    - Why can't I simply in 1 click resent absolutely all the text in an existing presentation to another language?
    - Why, after selecting all objects in a slide and specifying a given spelling language, the text in smart object still not set to this language ?

    Please review and fix.

Thanks for your feedback and we apologize for any issues that these problems might have caused. Language settings and proofing behavior in PowerPoint for Mac 2016 have been addressed and remedied as of build 16.11.18021400 (released to production on January 14, 2018). We hope this fix will improve your PowerPoint experience.

Remember if there is a feature or fix you would like to see come to PowerPoint, please make sure to vote for it accordingly. The more votes a feature has, the more likely we are to implement it.

  5. Apply Morph Transition for Edited Points

I would like the ability to morph between instances of the same shape (on sequential slides), but with edited points.

For instance, if I have a circle, and I want to drag the tangent handles out slightly or maybe even move the points relative to each other using the Edit Points tool for each slide. I would like PowerPoint to morph the tangent lines smoothly, recognizing that it's the same object, but with modified points/tangents.

This is different from scaling/moving the object as a whole.

This will allow us to make more complex animation without needing to change anything in…

  6. SELECTION PANE!

Add the selection pane that is in the Windows version to the Mac version. In fact, why not include most/all of the same functionality in the Mac versions as in Windows? Very frustrating and it's absolutely killing my ability to switch over.

  8. Please enable the Laser Pointer

In powerpoint 2016 for mac we cannot press Ctrl + mouse click to change our pointer in to a LASER pointer, which is inconvenient.

  9. Please add full RTL support for PowerPoint on the Mac (Arabic, Hebrew, etc.)

We are subscribers of the Office 365 and some members of the family are on Windows and others are on the Mac. We can't believe that in 2016 Microsoft does not support RTL languages (Arabic, Hebrew and such) on the Mac!!!!! This is such a basic requirement of the top productivity tool in the world. Please don't send us looking for alternatives. This applies to Word, Excel and Outlook too and I will post the same request for these tools as well.

  10. Add full language support for Czech

Many customers in Czech Republic would love to see full Czech language support = localized interface and grammar check. Both features are available in Office for Windows

Hello, thanks for submitting this feedback to our team. We now support this shortcut.

You can place your mouse focus on the text you want to copy the format from and press (command +Shift+C). Then find the new text you want to update the text format on and do a (command + A) to select the new text. Once your text is selected do a (Command + Shift + V) and you’ll see the new format being updated.

  13. 3D models support

3D formats that can be added in windows are great to express motion (e.g. rotating an earth globe). Why are features so limited for mac users

  15. Easier text in table editing

Using tables with text in cell is great to make "clean" boxes. However, today, we have to work 1 cell at a time.
It would be easier however to select text in multiple cells and define formatting (bullet, font, indent, line spacing... )

Also, I would love to have - like in Excel - a 45° text orientation on the first table raw.

Thanks for submitting feedback. In the latest version on PowerPoint you can use the “Grow/Shrink” animation and control the size (Tiny, Smaller, Larger, Huge").

Give it a try – select an element → go to the Animation tab → Select “Grow/Shrink” → “Effect options”

  18. Disable design ideas

Design Ideas is a big heap of instrusive rubbish. Every time I want to add an image and manually size it, this pops up. Just a way to untick it so it never shows up is absolutely vital. I have been using Powerpoint for what is coming up to 15 years, this is a couple of extra clicks every time. this might be useful for some people but it must be possible to disable it for the rest of us.

Thanks for your feedback! The ability to disable “Design Ideas” (PowerPoint Designer) is already available in PowerPoint for Mac 2016.

    To disable Designer:
    1. Select Preferences from the PowerPoint menu.
    2. Under Authoring and Proofing Tools in the Preference dialog, select General.
    3. In the General dialog box, under PowerPoint Designer, clear the Automatically show me design ideas check box

We hope this helps, and remember to keep voting for features that are important to you – the more votes a feature gets, the more likely we are to bring it to the product.

  19. Allow to safe PowerPoint slides directly in pdf format

In earlier versions it was possible to safe presentations in pdf format (Save under--->ppt). In the 2016 version you can do it for Word and Excel but not for PP. You have to use the export function for it.

Thank you for your feedback ! Keyboard shortcuts for subscript and superscript actually already exist in PowerPoint for Mac 2016.

For superscript, press Ctrl, Shift, and the Plus sign (+) at the same time.
For subscript, press Ctrl and the Equal sign (=) at the same time. (Do not press Shift.)

    Hope this helps!
