PowerPoint Add pen tools and Laser to record movement for "Record Slide Show" experience
Request coming from teachers who are doing remote learning during the pandemic.
Please add the ability to annotate while doing a presentation recording. This would be similar to Ink on windows. The feature existed with Mix but not available in PowerPoint 16.

Great news!! We started the engineering work for this feature. We know that this is super important given the covid pandemic. We are working fast to light up an improved record slideshow experience for Office subscription customers. Stay tuned for updates.

Hello, I agree that we need the possibility to record pointer/pen movements together with comments URGENTLY! I am professor of Cardiology, preparing remote lectures for my medical students and it is really less than half of value of the lecture when I am unable to show which part of ECG for example is crucial...

Given the actual pandemic context and the worldwide movement toward on line learning, we urge the Microsoft to make pen, laser works for Mac as it works for windows. It was so, so frustrating, disapointing to find out that this simply does not work for mac...

This is a major problem in attempting to record voice over PowerPoint presentations, which many of us are trying to do for our students during the present pandemic. Pens, etc. need to be enabled for use on the Mac.

Laser pointer is not recorded when I record slideshow on Mac. Please enable this feature and the Export to video too.

Found out the hard way this was not already there. Recording classes during this Covid-19 outbreak, and assumed it was recording all on my circling and highlighting. Ended up looking and sounding a bit loony. Very disapointed this was not a feature.

This essential feature is available in PowerPoint for Windows, but not for Mac. Explained here:

I also suggest this function. For windows this is possible. Due to COVID, we are using the online teaching so much more in my country. I hope they do this very soon.
