Audio does NOT export, as promised. No embedded fonts, as promised.
The instructions for PP on a mac (365) assure us that embedded fonts are a thing. LIE. There isn't even an option! The instructions for PP on a mac (365) talk about exporting with audio. LIE. The audio won't export as an embedded recording in the file. WHY??? What the freaking heck is the problem with Microsoft??? Had I not just spent weeks creating these presentations I wouldn't be angry as %&#*#...but I have.

In theory, I love the feature within PowerPoint (desktop version, not available in online format of PPT) where you can "record slide show" and audio is attached to each slide, which is super easy to update as needed, and then export as a video file to use on youtube, etc. HOWEVER, it's been a known issue for at least 15 years (per forums I've found online) that this feature is super glitchy. Most significantly, the audio file doesn't always record, but you don't know until your "recording session" is done and saved and you realize all or half your slides are missing audio. Additionally (less frequently) the timing isn't saved (but this can be fixed in the transitions tab) and sometimes audio that does show in PPT gets dropped when it's exported to video. For example, I have a whole slideshow that works great in PPT and all of it works in the exported video except just ONE slide is dead air space with no audio. Talking with colleagues who teach via webinar, they've abandoned the PPT route because it's so glitchy. But, if the feature worked, it would surpass most other options we have. Pleaaaaase fix this! (And once it's fixed, I bet the online users would like to have access to the feature, too.) Thanks!
