MAC users cannot currently manage or disable "Recent Documents" in PowerPoint. It would be helpful to add the same functionality as Windows users with an option for "0" recent docs. In my case, this is affecting my Dropbox Sync function and keeps re-downloading each PowerPoint file that has been unsynced every time I open PowerPoint.3 votes
For presenting to a videoconference, presentation to a window instead of a screen, but still have presenter view on a separate monitor.
I have a dual monitor setup (laptop plus screen), and now am doing everything virtually. The old paradigm of presentation monitor/presentation-view on laptop doesn't work well for videoconferencing - the videoconference windows are hidden entirely by PPT. If the presentation could be directed to a window instead of consuming a whole monitor, you would be able to see everything you need to on the 2 screens.2 votes

Boxes etc. provide options for "sketched" outlines. That's great. Regular lines and arrows apparently do not support these yet – the option is inactive in the menu.
Please provide sketched outlines for all shapes, especially lines and arrows.
Thank you.3 votes

SCORM plugin for PowerPoint and PowerPoint for Mac!
Previously there was the Office Mix that expired a few years ago. Will there be any remake to this?
There are also converters for free (sketchy) versions on the web or costly options (iSpring, etc.) for download, or require an authoring tool such as Articulate Storyline or Adobe Captive.

On the PC version when presenting slides with presentation on a second display monitor, you can edit the powerpoint slides on one display while presenting on the other - this is not possible on the MAC version and the closest I have seen to a solution is having two copies of the powerpoint slide open, and presenting one copy while using the second to edit2 votes
PowerPoint doesn't preserve the fonts for text copy from Word, it should be preserve.4 votes
Uploaded a version of my presentation to the 'cloud'.
Now I've nothing, the local version was 'moved' to the cloud and all I have is versions that don't match what I know I worked on.
If Microsoft don't understand how to provide these services maybe don't provide them.
I now have to recreate the work.2 votes

PowerPoint allows you to have dynamic links with Excel charts. If Excel documents are stored on the Onedrive folder, the link is broken when the files are closed.
Dynamic links between PowerPoint and Excel should also work with Onedrive folders.
The problem also seems to occur on WIN systems:
In the previous version of PowerPoint 2011 for Mac and in current versions of PowerPoint with Office 365 for Windows, you were/are able to have a body of text, select the 'Paragraph' option and edit the various characteristics such as line spacing. When editing these characteristics, the changes would change in real time in these versions of PowerPoint as I input different values into the options for the desired characteristic to edit. However on PowerPoint for Mac downloaded as part of my Office 365 subscription, this feature does not exist and rather you have to input the values of desired characteristics within the Paragraph options window and click OK, before the change is made on the PowerPoint.

It would be a great idea if there were a way to disable recent fonts.
The recent font list can get clogged up very quickly when testing which font to use.1 vote
On the PC version of Microsoft office the file menu in the ribbon should be brought over to Mac as it will make both version equal. And it looks better.1 vote
Sometimes I am trying to align a shape just right, but it keeps snapping to grid or another shape. This becomes extremely annoying. It limits PPT capabilities for its use in design.
Sometimes I want to put a line just BARELY offset from another shape, but powerpoint keeps snapping it to the object . Very annoying. Sometimes I just want an object to move freely regardless of its surroundings. Please let me know if there is a way to turn of "snap to" for a shape.
For Powerpoint (Mac), it is not possible to add "Open File" to the Quick Access Toolbar.
New File is there.
Close File is there.
Why is Open file not there? It's there in Word.1 vote
