  1. Zoom into slide to use it as canvas

It should be possible to use a PowerPoint Slide as big canvas and then zoom into it (as an animation) to go more into detail of an object or section. This would be extremly useful combined with (more complex) diagrams / graphics (like SmartArt) to visualize (complicated) structures in a clearer (and cooler) way. Similar to Prezi, but PowerPoint should use both techniques (slides and canvas, in the form that slides are still the main elements but you can use a slide as canvas where it makes sense) and combine their advantages.

    • PowerPoint 2016 Error: Chart Links to Wrong Data

Error: Duplicated chart reverts to data of original chart after the duplicated chart’s data has been changed. THIS IS NOT A FEATURE REQUEST, IT IS A REPLICABLE ERROR!

      Steps to replicate error:
      1. Open PowerPoint 2016
      2. New: Blank Presentation
      3. Insert Chart on slide: Stacked Column, this is slide 1
      4. Close the Data Sheet that automatically opened
      5. Duplicate slide 1, this is slide 2
      6. Go to slide 2: open Edit Data in Excel
      7. Change any data in the Excel worksheet: KEEP EXCEL DATA SHEET OPEN

      • Give an enamble/disable button for EPS insertion

Instead of just disabling EPS insertion for us, please include a check box somewhere so we can accept the consequences and be allowed to insert EPSs and see them instead of the can't be displayed message. Some of us are just plain not skilled enough to make changes to the registry and get it right. You have similar check boxes for Trust, VBA etc in Office products so you should be able to give this option as a setting and NOT a registry change. I don't think MS realizes what a game changer this is for those of us who…

          • NEW BUG - Shape fill disappears when creating pdf

As of today I notice a new (very annoying) bug exists in PowerPoint when saving the presentation as PDF file.

I can reproduce it as follows:
            (1) create a blank white presentation
            (2) delete all slides but the first one
            (2) add a shape with a fill color e.g. blue, that takes up the entire slide

Save the presentation in PDF format.

With PowerPoint 365 the shape fill turns "white" in PDF instead of blue. Only the border is displayed correctly.

Interestingly, if I make the shape smalller, e.g. 2in x 2in it will be displayed correctly in the PDF…

                  • Slides viewed in spread format similar to InDesign

More and more we are printing books in spread format. We need to keep the documents in PPT since we are using alot of charts and tables. Please enable user to view slides as spreads similar to InDesign.

Presenter view: In the presenter view I'd like to see some "hints" which animation will be the next. And furthermore see when all animations from one slide are finished and the next click would switch to the next slide.

                        • Choose which display (presentation & presenter view) goes to which monitor/output

In professional AV, we need to be able to plug two video signal outputs into a mac or pc and feed one of these with the actual presentation and the other one with the 'Presenter View'.
                          Please make this possible!
On the laptop display it would be ideal if you could make live changes to the presentation while its running as well :)

                          • change units from inches to pixels

Please give the option to change the units (globally) from inches to pixels - way more useful to think that way with a digital-only presentation.

                            • Create ability to have multiple stacked design layers/canvases on a single slide

A way to think about this under current concepts are that I would like to be able to stack transparencies on top of eachother, for an additive layer effect. I would like to be able to edit each transparency independent of the others, where the objects on one are on a different Z-plane entirely from all of the objects on another.

I would like to be able to define a 'base layer' or appearance of a slide, and then create a new overlay on top of that (and anotehr on top of that, etc.). As I work on the new…

                                        • Ability to customize textbox shape

This will allow a user to wrap a text box around an image or other object.

I frequently want in image in a "corner" of a text box, and have the text wrap around like an "L" around the image. The only way to accomplish this is to put tabs/spaces on the line.
