  1. Improved inking experience within slides

Inking in PowerPoint is an incredibly important tool for capturing feedback and marking up slides (way more effective than a laser pointer). Ink is a very important way to engage with an audience. However, the in-slide ink experience is very poor generally and needs improvements such as:

    1. Effective palm rejection - accidental touch pen artifacts and unexpected slide advances are common when presenting with touch and pen.

    2. More Colors: In PowerPoint 2007 you could select from a large set of colors in the pen palette while presenting. The current limited set appeared in PP2010 and has not changed since.

  3. PowerPoint Games

Many people's dream is to create games and knowing how to program is often not so easy. The way out for many people (including me) is to create a simple Powerpoint game. Nowadays this is almost a reality, but PowerPoiunt needs minor adjustments to make it perfect (some of these adjustments are not limited to just creating games):

    • Iframe in the web version for PPSX files could have an option to not show the control buttons at the bottom of the screen. The click of the mouse would be at the discretion of just how the user chose (for example,…

  4. Moving Animation "Animation Pane"

I’d like to suggest a really small idea but it’s really handy.
I’m designing a really complex slides using PowerPoint, with more than 200 animation per slide. So, sometimes I need to add something I’ve already forgot.
So, in order to put it in the right place I need to click and hold the animation all the way up till I reach it right place “in animation pane” so my idea is:
“how about to add moving the animation using numbers”
For example: when I opening animation pane, right click on the animation then it really will be very nice…

  5. Make Microsoft Forms add-in for PowerPoint a true add-in (that can be deployed) so users can use it without having access to the store

Currently Microsoft forms for PowerPoint is not an add-in as such, and therefore if your office tenant has "users can access the store" turned off it does not work. Most add-ins are admin deploy-able which is a workaround that is suitable for most add-ins. However, this is not an add-in so cannot be used.

    Context: Schools!

  6. Better alignment function

PPT needs an alignment function similar to what is found in Adobe Illustrator, i.e. when aligning two or more objects, you can decide which one is the anchor point that the rest should be aligned to.

E.g. Imagine I want to align my text box to a shape. Currently, PPT randomly brings the two together. But what if I want the shape position to stay intact and move my text into that shape, currently impossible. In Illustrator you simply choose both objects, then while the two are highlighted you can click on either one of the objects to define it…

  7. Presenter View – Automatically extend the arrow display to the Audience Screen, when the arrow is over the current slide of Presenter View.

Presenter View – Automatically extend the PPT arrow display to the Audience Screen, when the arrow is over the current slide of Presenter View. Speakers using Presenter View often have to look behind them to see where their mouse pointer is on the Audience Screen. This is very distracting to the audience and causes the speaker to lose track of where they are in their presentation.

There is an option to turn on the laser pointer, which extends from the Presenter View to the Audience Screen, but speakers often forget to turn this feature on or forget to turn it…

  8. Show Notes with the Record Slide Show feature

Currently, when using the Record Slide Show feature in the Slide Show tab of PowerPoint, there's no way to show the presenter Notes. Please add the option to show presenter Notes when Recording a Slide Show. Thank you.

  9. Rich text formatting of Notes Pane should be visible in Normal View and Presenter View as well.

It would be nice to have richtext formatting also visible in the Notes pane in the Normal view. There actually are context-sensitive options to highlight text, change font size, use colors, but it is only visible in the Notes Page view. Currently, it is only bold and italic that is displayed in the Normal View.

  10. YouTube caption set automatically in PowerPoint

I am using an online YouTube video in my presentation. Looking forward if there is an automatic setting for the caption in PowerPoint.

  11. Add Stock Images to Change Image in Zoom effect

I like the option to use a stock image when inserting an image on a slide. But if I insert a Slide Zoom on a slide and want to use Change Image to change the slide miniature to a more attractive image, only the three options "From a File", "Online Pictures" and "From Icons" are offered to me. I would like to have the additional option to insert a stock image, as in Insert Image. This could make Zoom Slides even more attractive.

  12. 'Present' to Skype/Teams/Zoom

When running a teleconference, it would be great if I could share my presentation in presenter view - treating the Web like an external projector. I know with Zoom I can select which window gets shared, but it's not foolproof.

  13. Enhance Reuse Slides for PowerPoint 365

The Reuse Slides feature is really useful in light of its integration with OneDrive and SharePoint for 365, but the lack of the following features is incredibly frustrating and renders it rather unhelpful:

    1. Select All Slides

    2. Select Slides in a Section

    3. Select Multiple Slides

Would love to see these features incorporated.

  15. NDI output support for PowerPoint

I'd like to recommend a feature to be added to the PowerPoint application. NDI is a high quality, low latency professional video IP format that I think would be a good addition to this application. I would allow you to share the output of PowerPoint on other peoples computer using a free NDI Monitor application or send the output into professional video production solutions.

The Skype team at Microsoft has added NewTek NDI support into their product. PowerPoint would be the next product that I think should be enhanced with this royalty free technology. You can learn more about NDI…

  16. Allow to permanently disable the export of Meta-Information while exporting a PDF from Powerpoint

When people in my company export PPTs as PDF Files the default setting is to include non printable information, in this case the "document's properties" and the "Document structure tags for accessibility" boxes are checked.
The result is, that if you open the final PDF-file, the title is shown as "Power Point Presentation", instead of the file name in the upper left corner.

Please include the option to permanently uncheck these boxes. Currently it has to be manually unchecked every time a PDF is exported and is a constant source of errors, since the exported PDF-file can only be altered…

  17. Clipart

in Powerpoint 2010 we could use Clipart and customize it to include company graphics, which were indexed and thus searchable via keywrds.
That allowed our users to create a presentation with our company's concepts and graphics.
Starting in PowerPoint 2013 this option was removed, and replaced by 2 options:
    1. The Bing online search for images and clip-arts (which searches for generally available graphics on the Internet)
    2. Connect to the user's OneDrive and add files from there. (which are personal user files)
Both of these options do not deliver what we need, which is a centrally managed (add /…

  18. Default options for line and letter spacing that make sense

RE: Add line spacing options to tighten line

This issue was marked as done but it really hasn't been implemented smartly in my opinion.

Though you can now set other values through the new dialog 'More spacing' and 'Line spacing options' the defaults options are still really strange.

Would make much more sense to have something like:
    0.8
    1
    1.2
    1.5
    2

  19. Make It Possible to Set Defaults on More Functions

I need to be able to easily and permanently set default page size (e.g., "letter") as well as a default font (and associated attributes such as Bold, Color, etc). At present there is no way to do this. I have to set them each and every single time I create a new document.

  20. Embed video search from Microsoft Stream

You should be able to search and pick the video you need from a window inside PowerPoint. Find your video a get the option if this should be a link or embedded "compressed" into the PowerPoint.
