Integrate x-axis and y-axis titles into axes.
Professional data visualizations from sources like the NY Times' Fivethirtyeight blog integrate the titles of axes into the axes themselves (see https://fivethirtyeight.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/Fehrman-Autobiography-0206-1.png?w=575).
This makes virtually every chart more minimals, cleaner, and improves reading speed. Small touches like these may a huge improvement.

Add more useful data visualizations and better defaults. Include ridegeline plots and confidence envelopes
New plots like shaded density plots and ridegeline plots (link 1 below, section 9.2) would greatly help show many different data distributions. Most presenters just show means and error bars.
Shaded confidence envelopes or even hypothetical outcome plots (link 2 below) would be welcome too. Currently, these have to be hacked together in a cumbersome way. In general, studying the data visualization/HCI literature and building features from there would greatly improve charts in MS Office.
Consider how defaults could be changed so that plots are more minimal and clean, as with NY Times visualizations (link 3 below).

venn diagram + Coloring
There is no Venn Chart available in Power Point, You must look into other chart libraries like -> https://www.highcharts.com/demo/line-ajax
Also for larger presentations; like 200 - 400 slides, Specific Coloring for labels (e.g. Brands) is a big hassel, there order may change in other slides. We cannot simply copy paste charts. Color Pallets should be associated with custom labels (user Defined). So we don't have to color each chart labels every time.
Chart label sorting also include by its values (based on specific columns; like if we have Jan - Dec data; and we would like to sort it using…

Elbow shape connectors should feature a curved elbow with a radius adjustment handle
Currently there is no way to create an elbow connector line that has a curved elbow.
All elbow connectors are only straight 90 degrees corners. Elbow shape connectors should feature a curved elbow with a radius adjustment handle.
It makes the flowcharts far more easy to read improving readability and of course accessibility at the same time.

What happened to the ungroup function?
Last month the ungroup function worked. Now it doesnt. I used to be able to import charts I made in other programs, such as SYSTAT, then ungroup it (twice) in Word or Powerpoint to change the color or text of points or labels and now that function doesn't work and instead shuts down the program. I desperately need this function to finish my thesis!!

Bug: Can't Save a Picture if you have more than 1 new window
If you make a new window of your presentation and then you want to save one slide as a picture from File menu, than the result will be incorrect image.
If you do from right click menu of your mouse, then it won't open the Save as Picture window dialogue

Display full file name in the top of the screen
On the edit mode the files names are cut and not displayed in full. This sometimes leads to confusion on the file being edited (mostly on long file names with versions at the end). There's enough space in that section of the screen to display longer file names (in a previous version this was also shown when hovering the mouse pointer on the file but it is gone now.

Improve equations editor performance
In Office 365 ProPlus PowerPoint 1708, I had a pptx with over 100 equation. When I try to save the pptx, it takes so long ( more than 11s every time) and it makes synchronizing with OneDrive impossible sometimes. The visual performance is also affected by the large number of equations.
I think that each equation is rendred everytime even when it's not edited.
I would suggest to review the performance of equations rendering.
Thank you all for your work.2 votes -

Bring the Excel animated 3D World Maps into PowerPoint
Loving the 3D World Maps in Excel, but it would be incredibly helpful to make them available in PowerPoint as well.

After copying a plot to PPT, change the divisions in the ruler to match the divisions in the plot.
After copying a plot with the Snipping tool to PPT, change the rules scale to align with the scale of the plot. This would be like adding subdivisions on the plot to the units on the plot axis.

Add functionality to move/edit data labels in treemap charts.
The size and alignment tabs are greyed out for data labels for treemaps. This can be frustrating when working with large data labels. I'd like to be able to move/edit data labels like I can with every other chart in Powerpoint.
