  1. Text Wrapping should be avalible in Powerpoint

When adding a picture to the PowerPoint, you do not get the option to Text Wrap meaning you cant keep typing, allowing the words to go around the outside of the image. This needs to be fixed soon, thanks.

        • Text wrapping! WTF?

Leaving out the ability to wrap text around an object is one of the most RIDICULOUSLY STUPID things I've ever witnessed!! It existed in prior versions of PPT; why not Office 2016? It's a PRESENTATION SOFTWARE!

          • Need Align Tools Keyboard Shortcuts!

The align tools are some of the most often used functions, but they are buried and have no keyboard shortcuts. Please give us something such as Alt-Shift-Right Arrow for right align and Alt-Shift-Left Arrow for left align, etc.

Yes, I know you can add them to the QAT and Alt to get keyboard commands, but these should be built in and standard.

(On the Mac, you can easily set shortcuts for these in the OS--which I do!)

            • High CPU usage for Slides that are stored in Onedrive

CPU usage of Powerpoint is very high when the Powerpoint presentation is stored in a location that is synced by the Onedrive client, e.g. Sharepoint or Onedrive for Business.

Copying the presentation to a local-only storage reduces CPU usage to normal levels.

Unchecking "Sync Office 2016 Files" on the "Office" page in the Onedrive Sync Client (blue, 17.3.6998.0830) also reduces CPU usage to normal levels, but results in missing functionality.

              Could this be fixed?

              • make presentations responsive to solve for 4:3 / 16:9 fights

Somehow, I think, you would have to assign elements a property that would determine where they would go when slide size changed. Or have some sort of flexbox model built in. This would solve ALL of the ratio fights that breakout everywhere.

                • give us more granularity in footer options

If I go to the Notes Master, I can turn off the individual footer components individually. That is, I can turn off page numbers but not footer text. Or I can turn off the date field and leave page numbers and footers in place.

Why can’t we have this same granularity on the slide masters and layouts? Please? Why is it all or nothing there?

                  • Zoom into slide to use it as canvas

It should be possible to use a PowerPoint Slide as big canvas and then zoom into it (as an animation) to go more into detail of an object or section. This would be extremly useful combined with (more complex) diagrams / graphics (like SmartArt) to visualize (complicated) structures in a clearer (and cooler) way. Similar to Prezi, but PowerPoint should use both techniques (slides and canvas, in the form that slides are still the main elements but you can use a slide as canvas where it makes sense) and combine their advantages.

                      • add support for changing oldstyle/lining numerals

Word allows changing of font numeral styles from lining to oldstyle and back. This is very important to style tables of numbers properly when using fonts such as Corbel.

                        • It would be really nice to be able to have the power point slides switch between portrait and landscape in the same presentation

I need to be able to add pictures that are both landscape and portrait oriented. Because of the way power point is now setup I have to crop and resize photos to get them to fit into a created image (such as a photo frame created in Corel.

                            • Send screen recording to 'OneNote'

The Snip program used to have the ability for users to embed their screencast directly into OneNote. Now that Snip will no longer exist after May 2018, it would be create if the 'Send to OneNote' feature would be available in the 'Recording' tab of PowerPoint. Publishing to Stream is great, but users then have to grab the URL, set the right permissions, and paste into OneNote. Students really utlitized this 'Send to OneNote' feature with Snip.

PowerPoint (all Office apps) have been doing a great job of pursuing new features and capabilities. However, I'm seeing encroachment of other offerings mostly based on "easier to use / get started". For example, “Prezie”. Even companies with Office 365 subscriptions end up having employees (users) who start innocently promoting with their fellow workers alternatives which they find easier to use from their newbie standpoint.

Having great features becomes meaningless if people are not getting started using the app and moving up the ladder from there. Microsoft should take a step back and say, "Suppose some other company was doing…

                                  • One click action for deleting unused slide masters

Many corporations have a standard branded template which includes many slide designs with a lot of very high resolution images. When creating a presentation only a small number of these are often be used but the file size can still be very large because of the slide designs stored in the master. It is possible to go into Slide Master view and delete all the unused layouts which will reduce file size considerably but this is a highly manual exercise when it should be a one-click operation, like a ‘publish’ command.

An example being a recent presentation that I worked…

                                      • Presenter View should allow different views, such as list view, icon view, etc.

Presenter view should allow different views, such as list view, icon view, single slide view. Sometimes I need to go to a slide based on the discussion, not the order it was originally in. You should have a view where you can click on different slides as they come up on your presentation, with an option to be a list view with sortable columns. Also, once you click on a slide, it stays in list view rather than going back to single slide view.

                                        • Give an enamble/disable button for EPS insertion

Instead of just disabling EPS insertion for us, please include a check box somewhere so we can accept the consequences and be allowed to insert EPSs and see them instead of the can't be displayed message. Some of us are just plain not skilled enough to make changes to the registry and get it right. You have similar check boxes for Trust, VBA etc in Office products so you should be able to give this option as a setting and NOT a registry change. I don't think MS realizes what a game changer this is for those of us who…
