Fix fonts list in Symbol dialog box
Home > Bullet button arrow > Bullets and Numbering > Custom opens Symbol dialog box to create custom bullets from fonts like Wingdings. There are currently no specific fonts listed. Always worked before 2016, broken now.

Which KB update fixes this for non-subscription PowerPoint 2016?

There are two different issues being commented on here - the fonts list for symbol dialog box has been fixed, but not the "customize bullet point". There are still only 2 fonts in the selection of fonts for customizing bullet points - will this be fixed too??

A key use of PowerPoint is displaying\presenting bulleted information. Previous versions allowed me to use Wingding Symbols; could you please add this back in soon. Thanks
it is IMPOSSIBLE to find the greater than or equal to symbol in powerpoint 2016 (Mac). Resorted to cut and paste from google...

This is a serious issue that needs to be fixed as soon as possible. Customizing bullets works just fine in Word 2016/365 (Windows desktop version), but it does not work in PowerPoint.
Any time frame on when this issue will be resolved. It was reported many months ago.
I just had this problem and it's very irritating. Please fix the issue.

I am experiencing the same thing. The drop down menu at the top of the Customized Bullet menu only has 2 choices: (normal text) (latin text).
This is in PPT 2016 on Windows 10
It still exists. So what?

There is no mechanism to report what is clearly a serious bug in PPT 2016: the list of installed fonts is no longer available when choosing/changing a bullet point.
Please include this fix with the next incremental upgrade. This is a consequential mistake in the 2016 release and I have yet to see an online acknowledgement from Microsoft that it exists and is in the fix pipeline.
Get it together, Microsoft!

This appears to be a bug with the bullets. It works as expected in 2013 and all prior versions going back to prehistory. I want to be able to add a bullet symbol from any font installed. Now, in 2016, the only way that I can add a symbol as a bullet from any font other than the current font is to have the symbol in the list of recently inserted symbols. This is an inconvenient workaround when the feature has always worked in the past.
Problem is more complicated.
PowerPoint 2016 is messing up fonts. For example, i try to insert FontAwesome symbol through Insert — Character, and i got only rectangle box with a question mark.
Character Map don't solve the issue at all. We got new rectangles, now from Character Map.
Word 2016 works perfect, PowerPoint 2016 works with some symbols.
MS have to polish PowerPoint instead of making complete strange, laggy and unusable Sway.
