Give us the latest Office update when we update
It's very annoying to learn of a new feature in PowerPoint but not be able to get it.
If a user is on the Office Insider (nee Office Insider Fast) release cycle and clicks the UPDATE NOW button, then that user is actively requesting the latest and greatest version of Office and they should receive the latest available update.
Currently, even when a user specifically clicks the Update Now button, they may or may not get the most recent update -- that is, the one with all the new features they've heard about. Microsoft says to be patient and they'll get it eventually (because even though the user has signed up for the first release, even these are rolled out a little at a time). This means that, collectively, users waste literally thousands of man-hours going back to File | Account and hitting the Update Now button in an effort to get the new features.
If Office Insider release level users are actively requesting the newest Office version with the newest features, by all means, GIVE IT TO THEM.
While I understand why a feature might not be released to all rings at once (conflict between New Feature and some previously released Existing Feature) but you need to provide details when announcing these features either to insiders or to the general public: What version of PPT it applies to, what specific edition, what Ring and what Windows version if that's applicable. Absent that information, I'm done wasting my time endlessly clicking Update, reporting to MS that the feature isn't there only (eventually. perhaps.) to be told that "Oh, well, that feature's only been released to SLOW ring and you're on Fast."
