Configuring how total number of slides is displayed on slides (ex. 1 of 10)
PowerPoint allows me to insert slide numbers. I'd like to be able to have it worded as "2 (of 12)", "3 (of 12)", etc.
- # of #
- slide # of #
Ability to not show count on hidden slides.
Please add the total number of slides automaticcaly like in Word documents !

OMG i cannot believe you haven't done this.

Showing the total number of slides next to the slide number creates a "progress bar" showing the audience member how far you are through your presentation. Update of the number of slides must be automatic, like the number of pages in Word. Manual updates are time-consuming and easily forgotten, leaving you wih a sloppy "10 of 8" on your final slide.
Add page _ of _ to autonumber like word, etc.
Hard to believe that something this simple isn't possible anymore...
I concur with slides being worded as 2 of 12, 3 of 12, 35d
En verdad se ocupa, por lo pronto a usar Prezi.
Please add this option - very much needed

need it very much
Kindly add option for automatic numbering of slides in powerpoint
Or I would like it formatted as slide 2/5 (in the case of a 5-slide presentation). But the point is, the total number of slides should be a field you can insert.

I'd like to see it implemented as follows: at the bottom of powerpoint you have the text
Slide 7 of 9
what would be more useful is:
Slide 7 of 9 (10)
where 7 is the current slide 9 is the count of unhidden slides and 10 is the total number of slides.
for bonus points you could use a configurable value as an estimate of run time for example 90 sec pers slide and then have:
Slide 7 of 9 (10) 00:15:00 duration

This seems to be a duplicate of this: https://powerpoint.uservoice.com/forums/288949-powerpoint-for-windows-desktop-application/suggestions/15282684-slide-count-excluding-hidden-slides
When I hide a slide, PP continues to count it. Thus a reader will think that they lost a page. It would be helpful to have an option so that hidden slides are not counted so that the actual presentation shows the page numbers of only the unhidden slides.
Please allow number of total pages to be inserted at foot on slidemaster so the number can automatically update, and if any page is set hidden, please do not count it in the total pages
Please mention this request in the PowerPoint section of the Answers forum; it'd be a simple matter to write you a quick macro that'll give you this information.
Would be great if we could see a slide count that excludes the hidden slides. This would help me better understand how many slides I will actually present and my timing needs.
