PowerPoint tables suck
PowerPoint tables desperately need some attention. They are horrifically ugly and extremely fiddly to use.
At a minimum, please improve the default options in the styles gallery.
There should be options with no header row fill but simple colored text and very light shading OR* borders (not both) throughout the rest of the table.
*We should have very light gray options for shading and borders, not ugly and ineffective tints of accent colors.
*No pink shading ever.
*Rename "best match for document" something more descriptive like "ugliest tables ever." Or redesign them to actually work with our files.
Make it more intuitive to change the border color.
*Show the border color that has been applied or selected, especially when it's the same color throughout the table.
*Make it more intuitive to change the border weight.
*Make it more intuitive to then apply the border.
*Don't make me turn on an existing border before I can turn it off.
As has been requested in another topic (and which has 555 votes as of today!), make it possible to save table styles.
I shouldn't have to go into the XML to create custom table styles for my clients.

I just Googled "Why do PowerPoint tables suck?" While this came right up, am surprised there is not even more people googling that phrase
