Make notes bigger while recording
The notes view is to narrow and small while recording. Please make it bigger, or at least give som options about size.

I couldn't agree more. For my own purposes, the current recording view is completely useless as my whole narration is scripted in notes. In practice, that means I have to jump through various hoops to get useful recordings, such as recording the sound separately while in presenter view, and then putting together a video in a separate application. But, of course, then the recording is not even in PowerPoint. Utterly useless.
Having the recording view resemble the presenter view would be a great solution. Also seeing the next slide is quite important for the flow of narration!

HOW IS THIS NOT ALREADY A THING!!!! IS MICROSOFT TONE-DEAF????
"Presenter Mode" and "Recording Mode" should be nearly the same thing in terms of Notes Panel and seeing Upcoming Slides. That's the whole point of recording your presentation! Duh!

Been having the same problem. It gets even more preposterous when you compare it to now discontinued Mix, in which that was never a problem. Why can't you just go on doing something that is working properly instead of making it worse?

Fully agree - I need to be able to see the notes when recording a ppt slideshow for video based training!!!

It's almost funny that the mode in which you most want to see your notes, recording, is the mode in which they are shown in a tiny little box. An issue reported to MS over 4 years ago

Please do increase the size of the box - it is quite difficult to read when only part of a sentence is visible.

Agree. This is perhaps the worst design I've seen of any software ever.. Absolutely terrible.

Notes window is far too small. There is no reason it couldnt be a ghosted window over the presentation. That way you could read the notes whilst still seeing the slide behind. This is a must to make it more user freindly

How in the world is this still such a tiny box for note text while recording???? HEY MS how big is a surface screen? Thanks for making this completely not accessible for those of us that cant read tiny tiny font or need more than one word at a time.

Increasing the size of the notes window would allow a MUCH SMOOTHER reading of my text. That window should span the entire width of the screen. As it is now, I am having to scroll down the window while also managing multiple animations in my presentation. PLEASE MAKE THIS IMPROVEMENT ASAP. Thank You.

Webinars and pre-recorded presentations are becoming more and more used due to online meetings becoming the de-facto standard these days. We need PowerPoint to better accommodate this by being "easy to use".

I would love to get to know the product designer/project manager/... who signed off on this. "Specification just said we need to show the notes. No one said they had to be legible. Or shown completely. Or not in the way of the slide, actually."

Agree - quite ridiculous, especially since the notes pane is adjustable and large when in presenter mode but not recording.

I just got so annoyed with this useless window that I am now reading notes from my phone. What a catastrophic mistake in interaction design. Why should I (presenter) and the viewer have the similar layout?

I agree; the feature is great, but of little use with this small size...

Totally agree. The design today is useless. I urgently need the recording function with one monitor and in presenter view

Can't agree more.
Can't you just make the notes pan visible during recording as in the speaker view? -

Completely agree with all suggestions already given, especially the ability to record the slide show while in presenter mode. That would resolve it all together.

There needs to be an option of recording the slideshow while in presenter mode. This would make the notes window a usable size and also show a preview of the next slide, which helps with the flow of the narration. The windows need to be adjustable as in presenter mode.
