  1. IMPROVEMENT

    When you increase/decrease the length or width of an object there is no way to know which side the dimension change will take place. It would very useful to identify the origin of the shape, for example placing the turning tool which appears when you select it always on the side of the origin which will stay fix.

  3. search should include Sections text

    I was trying to find a deck that was buried inside a master deck with 250 slides.

    The title slides don’t have the presenters’ names, so we added them to sections.

    I used CTRL+F to search for the name, but no results were found. Conclusion? Section text doesn’t show up in search. It should. Master and notes text does….

  4. Customize the ( On & Off-time) animation.

    Adding the ( off-time ) in the animation options, which I can customize the "stop time " period for any selected animation. That is only available when selecting the number of repitition more than two!
    [ As On-Off binary signal !! ]

  7. Fix "insert -> Photo album -> file -> link to file"

    Currently, in PowerPoint 2013, this functionality is broken - PowerPoint embeds all files, instead of linking.

    To reproduce, try creating a "Photo Album" with several large images, and take a look at the size of the pptx produced.

  8. Option to export to MP4 with silent audio track (rather than no audio track)

    When exporting a presentation that has no sound or recorded narration to MP4 with "Create a Video", the resulting MP4 file will not have an audio track. Although this makes the MP4 slightly smaller, it also causes problems when playing the MP4 on some devices such as Samsung smart TVs ("Not Supported Audio Data"), which is particularly annoying when you want to play the MP4 on repeat.

    There is of course a workaround: including a silent audio file that automatically plays on one of the slides, but it would be nice if there was an option to export a video…

  9. Lock format on presentation objects, and allow seamless auto formatting on paste

    Wouldn't it be so useful if you could have a slide where the size is locked, the font inside the box is defined, and locked, indentation is defined, and when i dump text (from any source), then it simply shows up formatted according to the slide?

    The FIND box retains the last text that you looked for - so we have to manually remove it before performing another Find. Please fix this. Thank you.

  11. Control Version History Numbering

    It is now easy to see a documents Version History. But every time someone pushes save, it is a new event. It would be nice to have version history numbers (i.e. 1.0, 1.1, 1.2.1..etc.) that you could set so you could choose to indicate when a save was major or minor.

  12. can we make it “Off” for a certain period as per the User need & then make it “ON” again.

    can we make Animation“Off” for a certain period as per the User need & then make it “ON” again.
    Is this kind of facility available in power point tool on a given slide rather than making it “Off” against all Slides.
    Can you incorporate this feature.

  13. (Loop effect) Alternating slides or images with a user defined timer

    Sometimes one wants to show differences between two images (representing medical, seismic, physics...). It is uncomfortable to hit right and left arrows to go back and forth to alternate the two slides or images. Even sometime in congress, the joystick given to the talker is not well design for such task. Thus, it would be nice to have the possibility to make loops either between two (or more) slides with a user defined timer, or making loops possible in the animations within a slide.

  14. Version control system

    A version control system of .ppt files (something like git or subversion) should be helpful, especially if it can record the editing history of each slide. This is because it is often the case that we make similar presentations whose only details differ.

  15. Find slides that are using a layout

    When I create a custom template, I'd like to be able to search for slides that match a particular layout. Right now, the only way I know of to do that is to go into the Slide Master view and then hover the mouse over a specific slide layout.

  16. Make the pages A3

    Their is a setting for making pages A4 and A5 but not A3. So you have to custom set the page size.

  17. Make 2nd pen button lasso-select like in other office programs

    In most office programs, using the 2nd pen button on the stylus/pen functions as a "lasso select" button. In powerpoint however, for some reason, you have to manually select the "Lasso select" button in order to use it, and it doesn't activate through the pen button.

  18. Add Descriptive text to the preview screen for templates

    I'd like to be able to add some descriptive text to the preview screen that appears when you click a template in File New. Many of the downloadable templates in the various categories already have this, but I'd like to be able to do the same for templates that I create for colleagues.

  19. Offer more professional graphics and photos for presentations

    The current graphics look like a kindergartner drew them 40 years ago. Not suitable for high tech presentations to large international corporations, and only apply to business offices. I'm disappointed every time I want to break up large amounts of text and look for a graphic to use.

  20. Create a complex timeline

    When preparing for an event, presenting a project, or calendaring for a court case an easy-to-use-and-edit timeline to show to the group would be wonderful. Pictures speak louder than words! It would be great if it could automatically be configured using dates or outline numbering, and if it could be used in Word and Excel.
