  1. Resume for Office Applications

    Intro: For almost 5 years, since Apple released Mac OS X Lion in July 2011), Mac users enjoyed "Resume" feature that enables applications to re-open in exactly the same state as before quitting the application or restarting the system, including window positions and contents of unsaved files.

    Problem: Lack of the "Resume" feature is what makes me dread logging off and restarting Windows. Especially when I have multiple Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents open in different virtual desktops on two monitors - having to re-create this setup after the restart is really annoying.

    Suggestion: I suggest Microsoft implements this functionality…

  2. Fix the bug - extended transitions and cannot save setting in audio option

    I am creating engaging educational videos using PowerPoint, and use the Insert Audio options to add professional voice over to each slide (in MP3 format). However, when I add the audio, it seems to inadvertently 'extend' the period of time before the slide transitions to the next slide, sometimes hanging for several seconds. I have found a quick workaround which requires me to select the option to Stop Playing after 1 slide. This works perfectly, so I add the audio, match animations to the audio then on each slide, I have to select the audio in the animation pane and…

  3. Highlighting during presentation

    Highlighter markup during presentation - In the newer versions of PowerPoint, the highlighter markers simply overwrite each other, with only the last color showing. In previous versions of PowerPoint (e.g. 2003), when highlighters overlapped they created a "blend" of colors. For example, highlighting an area with both yellow and blue created green. As a math teacher, this was extremely useful in showing where areas overlapped. Could this feature be reintroduced in an update? Thank you.

  4. Fix / grounded option for pictures

    Fix / grounded option for images or text boxes, etc on screen is required as when we add images, etc on other images, etc, many times the behind objects get selected and move. This irritates the user.

    This option can be added in "Picture tool - >Format -> Arrange"

  6. Fix bug in macro system

    My macro selects all objects and sets the font to Arial. It works on one slide, maybe two, but then I get error no. 2147024809 (80070057) and PPT 2013 crashes.
    1. Fix the bug.
    2. Fix the error-handling system so the whole program doesn't just evaporate.
    3. Try introducing testing and quality assurance for your products. You obviously don't have any at the moment. Your products have more defects than a 1920 Ford built on a Monday morning.

  7. When using "Change picture" new image should use it's own pixel count, not the picture being replaced

    example: you have a 100x50 pixel logo on your slide, if you use change picture, and replace it with a 1000x500 pixel logo, it ignores the new quality/resolution and pixellates it.

  8. We need new textures

    The textures provided in the Picture or Texture fills are incredibly dated. Can you give us some new textures, please? I'm really tired of the fish in sand.(Does anyone ever actually use that?)

  9. Make a setting to turn a power point into notes

    There should be an option for students to take a power point and turn them into effect notes to study or for teachers to make fill in the blank.

  10. Presenter View: Show more than just the next bullet point.

    In PPT 2010 I could see all of the upcoming bullet points on my slide. This allowed me to have an overall picture of where I was going and made for smooth presentations. Now that PPT only displays the next upcoming bullet point it's stressful and requires more continued thought. It's also handy to see the next couple of slides without having to click on a different view.

  11. Abilty to reference currently selected comment through VBA

    It would be helpful to be able to reference the active/selected user comment. For example, when the user deletes a comment, it would be great to be able to store that comment in a variable.

  13. Move comment box option

    Be able to move the notes section.
    I like that you can resize it but I would like to be able to move it so that it is off to the side like it is in presenter view. Often times there are so many notes that you either have to make the slide small or scroll to see them all. I find that in presenter view with the box vertical next to the slide instead of horizontal under the slide you can actually see all the notes.

  14. Enable customization of object default format

    I don't use the shadows, I don't like blue lines. Why does each time I use a line it has to be blue, 2pt wide, and with a shadow? Why do I need to adapt to your software and not your software adapt to me?

  15. Allow copy/paste of slides without linking the data - like it has always done!

    With the new powerpoint 2016 you can no longer just copy a slide as the chart in the new slide will be linked to the data source of the original slide. it's not visible until you open the chart in the original slide and it changes to match the data you input for the new slide - so you have to slides with hte exact same data.

    I simply can't fathom why this is no longer possible to do

    Removing the “Under Review” tag since this idea does not have sufficient votes for us to take on as a new feature.

  16. Ability to evenly distribute columns or rows in a table

    The ability to edit a table in powerpoint is RUBBISH. It would be amazing if we could automatically change column / cell widths etc. so that it had the same formatting flexibility as in excel.

  17. Saving a slide as a jpeg

    When you save a A4 PowerPoint slide as a jpeg and insert that image in a A4 Word doc, the image does not cover the entire page. Dimensions of the image are smaller than A4.
