Allow powerpoint for mac to support embedded fonts like on windows and previous versions. It makes the format a lot more portable that way, otherwise we end up having to only use pdf files to share.

The original post is in the iOS section but it seems to be talking about PowerPoint for Mac (i.e. macOS). FYI, font embedding in PowerPoint for Mac (macOS) works now in Office 365 and 2019. The option is in Mac menubar > PowerPoint > Preferences > Save.

PLEASE! I am an artist and constantly doing presentation at different universities, galleries, and schools. I need to know that my files will open and look great on whatever platform I'm using. I rarely have control over what computers I'm using and embedding fonts helps me to avoid technical delays. Mac is the standard for artists and designers, so we are especially reliant on this feature!

This is an absolute must in this day and age where we all use different platforms for presentations. I create a beautiful product and the end user sees crap.
Most definitely! It is critical for enabling cross-platform, cross-modality editing that maintains the same design and layout consistency. A subtle but very important feature that many take for granted but when missing is a huge pain to work around/with.
PLEASE! This makes life so much harder, that I cannot embed fonts from my mac!
As a huge Powerpoint user for my business, the fact that I can't embed fonts in a presentation is extremely disappointing. I have to share everything in pdf - and can't collaborate adequately with my clients on PCs.

Designing a template now and working on typography. Quite disappointed that I cannot embed fonts. Basically I can't use any non-standard, cross platform fonts because it will show up differently for clients. As a result I need to always share as PDF or greatly limit my design.
Big omission especially since this was apparently a cut from earlier versions.

This is far and above the biggest reason I don't use Powerpoint. It's honestly pathetic that it's 2016 and this feature still hasn't been integrated. I would love to know the reason why it hasn't been included.
Our organization has presentation templates that we're required to use, and they include fonts embedded in the presentations. Editing these presentations on the Mac platform causes the embedded fonts to be lost, as we collaborate with others using the Windows platform.
