Why not allow rotation of the text completely independent of the outer shape?

This works on Windows, so why not on Mac as well?

Maybe somebody from MSFT could explain, why this obvious feature is not available in Powerpoint, yet. Is it a technical issue or a usability decision of some sort?

I agree with Sam. Not counting up with all slides is especially useful if one uses morph transitions as very useful substitution for one-slide animations.

Definitely something that should be added! There is "zoom" but unfortunately zoomed objects are not displayed crisply.

I don't see this "as in Photoshop" but as an extension to the "crop to shape" feature. It would just have to allow "Edit points" for a start. In the next step it would be great, but be able to first create the shape and then use it to crop a picture.

I was just trying to find out if there is any way to achieve this. Obviously there isn't. I'm not certain about the added value for filled shapes, but for paths this would allow wonderful effects for story telling.

I'm missing this feature since more than 15 years now, hoping that with each release it will finally be introduced, because it is such a no-brainer.

I second this idea, because it would make it much easier to create proper motion paths.
