I agree. Mouse pointer or Laser Pointer do NOT show after exporting PowerPoint presentation as as movie ".mp4" on Mac. The mouse pointer or laser pointer show OK while doing the presentation (Slide Show - Record Slide Show), but not after exporting the slide show as video.

The issues remain with Office 2019 for Mac version 16.29.1 (19091700) on macOS 10.12.6 (16G2128) Sierra.

This essential feature is available in PowerPoint for Windows, but not for Mac. Explained here:
