I have the same problem with a slide containing an exit animation. which clears the slide to be similar to the following slide - except for the new title, which shall be animated to recognize the change. But except for crazy workarounds and VBA hacks I did not find a reasonable solution. I'm wondering, why I do have exit animations when there is no chance to exit the slide.

There is no transition setting which allows to specify to advance after last animation finished. Having an animation on the following slide do start directly after previous or also with previous doesn't work either. Or maybe an additional animation action "Go to next slide" whatever.

The only way I could get it to work as expected was duplicating the slide - what a non-sense - and then transition to it with the click, which would trigger the exit animation. The new slide now is with auto-advance and takes care of the exit-animation and transition. BUT now I have slide numbers which indicate the slide-change. Which could somehow be circumvented by moving the slide and building somehow another presentation sequence... here I gave up with piling on workarounds... :-(

It is absolutely crazy that there are so many settings in the exit animations for effects and timing and animating text. But there is no way to specify the simple action "Continue with the next slide". Attaching the transition to an exit animation would also have the benefit to keep the slide independent from other slides.
