While I understand why a feature might not be released to all rings at once (conflict between New Feature and some previously released Existing Feature) but you need to provide details when announcing these features either to insiders or to the general public: What version of PPT it applies to, what specific edition, what Ring and what Windows version if that's applicable. Absent that information, I'm done wasting my time endlessly clicking Update, reporting to MS that the feature isn't there only (eventually. perhaps.) to be told that "Oh, well, that feature's only been released to SLOW ring and you're on Fast."

Removing the “Under Review” tag since this idea does not have sufficient votes for us to take on as a new feature.

Under review for coming up on 2 years now. Any updates from the team, please? And please add Mac support for linking to excel charts, worksheets, ranges etc, just as can be done under Windows.

Please YES, give the Mac the ability to link to spreadsheet data & charts. Not having this is like running a footrace with your feet amputated.

I'm upvoting this because I often want to include screen shots in my PPT files, but PPT's "smoothing" makes them look like blur-fiestas, especially where the screenshots include text. At one time, I could save the screenshots as WMF or EMF and PPT woudn't mess with them. Alas, it's gotten "smarter" and now ruins those too. Could ya dumb it back down a bit?

Actually, you can already change the font size and have it appear in the notes pane. The way you get it to work is totally hidden, though: Choose View | Outline View. Then rightclick anywhere in the outline pane and choose Show Text Formatting on the pop-up menu. That's it.

Note that in many dialogs where you're entering dimensions, you can include the units you prefer to work in: 1 gives you 1 inch, but you can also enter 96px to get pixels or 2.54cm or ... you get the idea.

This, but also, give us the ability to include other similar fields (filename, path, etc) as we can in Word and Excel. And while we're at it, custom fields (again as in Word) so we could create e.g. a ClientCompany custom document property and then use that as a field in our PPT documents. Edit the ClientCompany custom property and it propagates throughout the document wherever the field's been inserted.

And PLEASE, ditch the current "measured from center" coordinate system and let us specify guide coordinates from left/top. Like EVERYTHING else in PPT is measured.

Addins("YourAddinName").Path will give you that. On the Mac, as I recall, you need to use AddIns("AddinFileName") but under Windows PPT, the add-in name is set in the add-in's properties dialog so changing the PPAM file name shouldn't change it.

This feature has existed in PPT since the early 90s. Save the presentation as a PowerPoint Show (PPS or PPSX). It opens in slide show mode when double clicked and quits PPT when you end the show.

Understood, but Ctrl+A | DEL key does the job. Or you could create your own template/theme with the default shapes deleted.
