    That option has been in PowerPoint for ages. Probably since Day 1. Click on the Design menu, then Slide Size and then I believe Custom Slide Size. Change orientation for your slides in that dialog box.

    You can already do that. Just change the slide size using Custom measurements.

    You can do banded rows and columns in PowerPoint. What version are you using?

    Just exactly what are you using PowerPoint for? It's not a drawing program. It would be nice if it could handle vector graphics a lot better but I doubt too many people expect PowerPoint to have the same drawing functionality as Illustrator.
